Front Roll

Practice with caution to avoid injury

The forward roll is presented at a beginner-level to assist in preventing one from injury in motion, such as falling or being thrown. The arm closest to the floor should extend at a downward angle and impact pressure should be disbursed evenly. The opposing hand should guard the face from injury. The legs should be controlled so as not to collide together when in motion, to prevent injury to groin and leg joints. *Don't forget to tuck the chin.
